Deputy Batt O’Keeffe: My Department has been aware of a need for further post primary provision in the Dublin 15 area and in that context, I sanctioned the establishment of a new post primary school for the area.

My Department is working closely with Co. Dublin VEC and is currently examining the possibility of opening the new school in September 2009 subject to the identification of suitable [426] accommodation. It is envisaged that the new school will open in temporary accommodation in 2009 and an announcement will be made on the exact location shortly.
