Deputy Paul Kehoe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the status of an application for naturalisation in respect of a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [46913/08]

  Deputy Dermot Ahern: An application for a certificate of naturalisation on behalf of the person referred to in the Deputy’s Question was received in the Citizenship Division of my Department in June 2008. Processing of the file has been completed and I have reached a decision. The person in question will be informed of that decision in due course.

  Deputy Dermot Ahern: An application for a certificate of naturalisation for the person referred to in the Deputy’s Question was received in the Citizenship Section of my Department in August 2005. Officials in that Section inform me that processing of the application has commenced and the file will be forwarded to me for a decision in the coming months.
