242. Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism if his Department will directly or indirectly support the building of community-based theatres or community centres adaptable for theatrical production in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15440/05]

Mr. O’Donoghue: My Department’s arts and culture capital enhancement support scheme, ACCESS, provides capital funding for Arts and Culture projects throughout the country. Unfortunately all the funds under this scheme are fully allocated at present. I hope to be in a position shortly to clarify the position regarding a possible successor to the ACCESS scheme.
