Written Answers. - Freight Carrier Licences.

  261. Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Transport if he will investigate the case of a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary. [20887/04]

Dr. McDaid:The person referred to [2176] already holds a national road freight carrier’s licence in his own name which issued to him on 26 April 2001 and does not expire until 25 April 2006. No correspondence has been received from the person in question, and therefore, no refusal of an application in his name has issued. However, as he already holds a national road freight carrier’s licence, he is not required to apply again until the licence expires, or unless he wishes to obtain an international road freight carrier’s licence.
