Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if [509] a coursing club listed in the Irish Coursing Club licence took hares from Valentia Island during the 2003-04 coursing season; the number of hares that were taken; and the location they were released. [6937/04]

Mr. Cullen: Under the terms of their 2003-2004 licence, my Department has requested the Irish Coursing Club to provide particulars on the taking of hares — if any — on Valentia Island during the 2003-2004 season and on their subsequent release. This information is not yet to hand, but will be communicated to the Deputy as soon as it becomes available.
