Minister of State at the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Mr. N. Ahern): I propose to take Questions Nos. 118 and 156 together.

On 5 September I announced funding of €5.5 million over the coming three years for community and voluntary organisations under the scheme to support the role of federations, networks and umbrella bodies in the community and voluntary sector. The scheme attracted 134 applications, of which 34 were recommended for funding. My officials are currently in contact with all the successful applicants and funding will be made available to individual groups as soon as contracts have been settled between my Department and the groups concerned. The report of the consultants who completed the assessment of applications, including a list of successful applicants, is available on my Department's website.

On 15 September I announced funding of €1.9 million over the coming three years to support the training needs of 24 organisations which were recommended for funding under the scheme of training and supports for organisations in the community and voluntary sector. My Department notified all applicants by letter of the outcome of their applications on 12 September. The report of the consultants, including a list of successful applicants, is available on my Department's website.
