783. Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the position in relation to the provision of a complex for the Abbey Theatre; [537] and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20803/03]

Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism (Mr. O'Donoghue): The Government has approved the invitation of expressions of interest from the private sector in participating, on the basis of a public private partnership, in the redevelopment of the Abbey Theatre at its existing location. My Department, with the Department of Finance and the Office of Public Works, is working to implement that decision.
