Mr. N. Dempsey Mr. N. Dempsey
Minister for Education and Science (Mr. N. Dempsey): I wish to advise the Deputy that the special education section of my Department informed the school authorities on 8 September 2003 that insufficient supporting documentation had been provided in respect of the pupil to whom he refers and that no resources could therefore be approved. Additional supporting documentation was received in the Department on 22 September 2003 and the case is now being reviewed by the national educational psychological service. A response will issue to the school authorities as soon as is possible.
