[1219]  Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. McDowell): I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 1364 of 9 October 2002. The person concerned recently applied to the Department to have his permission to remain in the State extended, and a decision is expected in the near future.
