Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Finance the number of lobby groups or public relations firms he or his Department has met with to discuss issues of impending legislation since the formation of the Government; the issues on which they lobbied; if this resulted in changes or amendments; and if he will make a statement on the matter.   Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy): The Deputy will be aware that my Department and I [191] meet a large number and range of interest groups drawn from all areas of society in the context of a wide variety of legislation, including the Finance Bill. In the circumstances, it is not possible to say how many of such groups have been met in the period covered by the question.
