185. Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a suckler cow grant payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26275/00]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh): The person named applied for premium on 33 cows under the 2000 suckler cow premium scheme on 30 May 2000. Arrangements are in place for the applicant to be paid an advance of 60% in respect of the 33 animals in question within the next seven days.

Maps have issued to him and he has been informed of the extent of this overclaim. The application cannot be further processed until a reply is received.

Payments in the amounts of £900.00 in respect of the person's 2000 sheep headage application and £1,092.00 in respect of his 2000 cattle headage have now issued.
