503. Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay in having a person (details supplied) in County Louth admitted to a hospital (details supplied) in County Louth, to have his tonsils removed. [24230/00]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): The provision of medical services in this case is the responsibility of the North Eastern Health Board in the first instance. My Department has asked the chief executive officer to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
