131. Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Education and Science when the Committee on Adult Education established in 1999 will finalise its report. [3815/00]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): The question refers to the forthcoming White Paper on Adult Education.

The drafting of the white paper will be completed very shortly. In accordance with established procedure with documents of this nature, it will then be circulated to Departments for their observations. It may be necessary to amend the draft in the light of these observations. The final version will be submitted to the Government for approval. It will be published as soon as practicable after approval has been received.
