Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding a person (details supplied) in County Carlow who is on a waiting list for an ENT clinic at Portlaoise since July 1999; the number of persons on the waiting list; the average length of time persons are waiting on this list; and when he will be called for treatment. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): The provision of medical services in this instance is the responsibility of the Midland Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
