Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will implement further sections of the Solicitors Act, 1994; and the sections of the Act which have not been implemented. [17008/99] Mr. O'Donoghue Mr. O'Donoghue Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): All provisions of the Solicitors (Amendment) Act, 1994, which require a commencement order to bring them into operation have already been the subject of a commencement order. Certain provisions give discretion to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to make regulations or orders and while some powers in this area have been exercised to date the other powers are the subject of ongoing review in my Department and any decisions made in respect of them will be announced in the normal way.
