572. Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he will report on representations made to him in relation to a sports club (details supplied) in Dublin 11 which has financial difficulties; if he will report progress following examination of the case made to him; if he has made available advice or officials from his Department to examine the matter with the club; if recommendations have been agreed; if funding will be made available under the grants and sports section, youth facilities and services fund, or any other source of fund; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [783] Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation (Dr. McDaid): While I have received representations on behalf of the club in question, the scheme administered by my Department in respect of funding for individual sports allocates funding to the respective recognised national governing body to assist with the development of the sport.
