95. Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the cost of the rail safety report commissioned by her Department; the initial projected cost of this report; and the reasons for the difference, if any, between these figures. [28079/98]

Minister for Public Enterprise (Mrs. O'Rourke): The contract with IRMS for the independent review of railway safety was for £233,288, inclusive of VAT. That was the amount paid to the consultants.
