Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

297. Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when an inspection for a new house grant will be carried out in relation to an application made by [1445] a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and the reason for the delay in this regard. [21069/97]

Minister of State at the Department of the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Molloy): There has been no undue delay in this case. An inspector reported on 29 August that, contrary to a condition for payment of a grant under the scheme, the applicant was not occupying the house as his normal place of residence. Following correspondence in the case, a further inspection is now being arranged.
