[667] 163. Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will have his REP scheme plan accepted in view of the fact that he submitted this to his Department in March 1997. [20393/97]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh): This person's application is one of a number relating to a large estate in County Mayo.

It is necessary to clarify the entitlements in this case, as well as those of a number of other applicants on the estate, to determine the areas eligible for REPS. When this has been done, the application in question will be further processed.
