576. Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education if grant aid will be urgently allocated to a primary school (details supplied) in County Wexford for repair works. [14421/97]

Minister for Education (Mr. Martin): The improvement works requested by this school fall within the scope of the devolved grant scheme for minor works to national school properties and the school management have been advised accordingly. The first payment under this scheme issued in May of this year. It is a matter for the management to decide on the priority of works to be undertaken in a particular year.
