Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the total number of staff in his Ministerial offices and his Minister of State's offices; if he will give a breakdown of the status of all staff, whether temporary civil servants, permanent or non-established; if he will give comparison figures for the years 1988, 1993, 1995 and 1996; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Tourism and Trade: (Mr. E. Kenny): My Department was set up in January 1993 and the Minister of State's office was set up in January 1995. The numbers of established and non-established staff in my office and in the office of the Minister of State are set out in the following table. These have remained unchanged since 1995.
