[405] 173. Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education when tender documents will be approved for renovations to a school (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that the delay is causing hardship and the parents want the work carried out during the summer months. [8946/97]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): The preparation of tender documentation for the building project at the school referred to by the Deputy is the responsibility of the consultants engaged by the school's board of management.

I understand that this documentation has been finalised but it has not yet been submitted to my Department for approval.
