118. Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in arranging a hip replacement operation for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8584/97]

Minister for Health (Mr. Noonan, Limerick East): I understand from the South-Eastern Health Board that the person referred to by the Deputy is not on any of their orthopaedic waiting lists. Perhaps the person in question might contact the board with the name of the referring general practitioner so that further inquiries can be made.
