Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. Coveney): A report by consultants commissioned to investigate the feasibility of carrying out works which might alleviate localised flooding in the Arrow-Owenmore river catchment has recently been achieved and has been considered by the Commissioners of Public Works. In the report the consultants recommend a number of minor works which if completed would help to alleviate flooding in the Arrow-Owenmore river catchment area. A sum of £215,000 has been allocated to cover the cost of the identified works which will commence immediately.
