Mitchell asked the Minister for Education if she will give a list of the secondary schools in Dublin 12 which have closed over the last three years or are about to close; and the schools which are about to or have recently received sanctions for extensions to the school in the same postal district.

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): The information sought by the Deputy in relation to secondary schools in the Dublin 12 District is as follows:

Closures: 1991, None; 1992, None; 1993, None; 1994, Marist Secondary School, Sundrive Road; Colaiste Caoimhín, Parnell Road.

Extensions sanctioned: Assumption Secondary School Walkinstown; St. Paul's Secondary School, Greenhills; Ard Scoil Eanna, Crumlin.
