At present, our Ambassador in Vienna is accredited, on a non-residential basis, to Hungary. Our network of resident diplomatic missions is small and must remain so for the foreseeable future because of our limited financial resources. In the circumstances, it is not possible to envisage establishing a resident Embassy in Budapest at the present time. I will, however, keep the matter under continuous review in the light of our national and international interests and the resources available for our diplomatic representation overseas.
