134. Ms O'Donnell asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the International Agreements to which Ireland has become a party to in each of the last five years; and, in each case, the date on which the agreement was concluded.

Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Spring): A list of those international agreements to which the State became a party during the last five years, including the date of formal acceptance and the date of entry into force for the State, is as follows:

1989

1. Montreal Protocol on the Reduction of CFC Emissions. Ratified on 16 December 1988. Entered into force on 1 January 1989.

2. Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. Ratified on 16 December 1988. Entered into force on 1 January 1989.

3. European Convention on the Legal Status of Children born out of Wedlock. Ratified on 5 October 1988. Entered into force on 6 January 1989.

4. Agreement between Ireland and the Government of the United Kingdom concerning the Delimitation of Areas of the Continental Shelf between the two countries. Signed on 7 November 1988. Entered into force on 11 January 1989.
