17. Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education the amount of money allocated to sport from the national lottery and the Exchequer in 1992 and to date in 1993.

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): Since 1988 sports programmes have been funded solely from the proceeds of the national lottery. The provision for sports programmes in 1992 and in 1993 was £10.4 million and £10.95 million respectively.
