Mr. Dukes asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make provision in the 1994 Estimates to construct a relief road for Athy, County Kildare, [1888] to re-route heavy traffic away from the town centre and, in particular, to avoid major traffic congestion and serious danger to life during the course of the sugar beet campaign, during which huge volumes of beet are brought by road through Athy to Carlow.
