221. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment when he will sanction an allocation to allow Cork Corporation build a public library in the Bishopstown area in Cork city.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Smith): An application for approval in principle for a branch library at Bishopstown has been received from Cork Corporation and is being examined by my Department in conjunction with An Chomhairle Leabharlanna. A decision will be notified to the corporation as soon as possible.
