Brennan): The rental of temporary premises for primary school purposes is normally grant-aided by my Department, provided certain conditions relating to the rented accommodation are met. My Department is not satisfied that the accommodation in question meets these conditions. However, the matter will receive further consideration in the light of an inspector's report recently submitted. The question of according permanent recognition to the specified school is under active consideration at present. As it is expected to have this matter satisfactorily resolved in the near future, my Department is now actively pursuing the acquisition of a permanent base for the school. 169 Regarding the proposed site, an initial report has proved favourable and consequently [169] a valuation report has been sought from the Valuation Office. On receipt of the Valuation Office's report, purchase of the site will be considered on the basis of this report and also in the light of the available capital. Dáil Éireann 417 Written Answers.
