39. Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Marine if a person (details supplied) in County Dublin will be issued with a licence to permit him to fish in the Irish Sea between Greystones and Bray, County Wicklow.

Minister for the Marine (Dr. Woods): A licence will be issued to the person concerned if he complies with the terms and conditions which apply to the issue of sea fishing boat licences and, in particular, the removal of equivalent active fishing capacity in terms of tonnage and horsepower.

Detailed proposals in the prescribed format are awaited from the person concerned.
