Written Answers. - Insurance for County Meath Students.

222. Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Education if she will allow the five [299] over 18 year old students who are attending St. Mary's special school in Navan, County Meath and who are not insured at present under the rules and regulations due to their age, to be covered under the insurance scheme; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): My Department has received no application from the school in question for permission to allow the pupils mentioned to remain in the school.

Any such application will be decided upon the basis of a report from my Department's inspectorate. In the event of such approval being given, the question would be a matter for the board of management of the school.
