Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Health the number of qualified nurses who are employed on a temporary basis by the North-Eastern Health Board in that region; and if he will make a statement on the matter. These figures represent actual numbers employed rather than whole-time equivalents. I understand that, as a result of recent competitions, a number of the nurses involved have been placed on panels established for the purposes of making permanent appointments.
