Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. O'Malley) Desmond J. O'Malley Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. O'Malley): I am fully aware of the industrial development needs of the Cork area as of other areas in the country. The Industrial Development Authority have statutory responsibility for the development of industry. I am informed by the IDA that they are actively promoting the Cork south-west region for suitable manufacturing industry. The Government for their part will continue their policy of creating a suitable economic environment in which industry can grow and thus create the much needed jobs to reduce the levels of unemployment and emigration.
