88. Mr. J. Fahey asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding the tax affairs of a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

Minister for Finance (Mr. MacSharry): The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the taxpayer's liabilities to income tax for all years 1980-81 to 1987-88 were determined by the inspector of taxes on the basis of accounts and returns submitted. The tax outstanding is legally due and payable and its collection is now being pursued.
