103. Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health if a medical doctor is included [1456] in the committee set up to advise him on mental handicap; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Health (Mr. B. Desmond): A review of the mental handicap service is at present being undertaken by my Department. This is being done largely through a process of consultation with persons and organisations involved in the service. A number of individuals including a medical doctor, are assisting in this review.
