Mr. Crotty asked the Minister for Health when an acute unit for Carlow patients to be located in Carlow town will be commenced; where it will be located; and the number of patients who will be catered for. Minister for Health (Mr. B. Desmond) Barry Desmond Minister for Health (Mr. B. Desmond): I presume the Deputy is referring to the provision of an acute psychiatric unit in Carlow. It has been agreed with the South Eastern Health Board that such an acute unit should be provided in Kelvin Grove as soon as possible and the necessary arrangements are now in hand.
