Dáil Éireann - Volume 362 - 26 November, 1985 Written Answers. - School Extension. Mr. Kirk Mr. Kirk 198. Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Education if her Department will sanction the required extension to Kilkerley national school, County Louth; and if so when work will start. Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey) Gemma Hussey 117 Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey): Following the grant-aiding by my Department of a new school comprising four classrooms and a general purposes room for Kilkerley national school, County Louth, the school authorities applied for aid to provide a fifth classroom. My Department, following examination of the matter, has informed the school authorities that it is satisfied that the recently provided accommodation, will be adequate for the school's immediate needs and that, because of the difficult financial climate at present, it would not [117] be in question to provide additional permanent accommodation before it is seen to be actually required in the long term, It is not therefore proposed to sanction a grant for an extension. The matter will however be kept under review. Dáil Éireann 362 Written Answers. School Extension. Questions 19851126
