750. Mr. F. Fahey asked the Minister for Labour if he will give details of the capital grant scheme for sports facilities which was announced in the recent national plan.

Minister for Labour (Mr. Quinn): As indicated in Building on Reality 1985-87, the Government have decided that funds [750] will be made available over the period 1985-87 to enable grant aid to be provided towards the cost of building recreational and community facilities. The terms and conditions governing the allocation of grants under the scheme will be announced shortly and interested groups will be invited to make application to my Department for grant aid.
