Dáil Éireann - Volume 348 - 21 February, 1984

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

358. Mr. J Fahey asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Kavanagh): The application has been refused because, contrary to a condition of the scheme, the work, apart from the provision of a water supply, had commenced prior to an inspection of the house. A grant is not payable for the water supply as a previous water grant was paid in respect of the house in 1976, which is within the ten-year waiting period for further grants under this category.

359. Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Environment if a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Kavanagh): A grant cannot be paid in this case until the person named notifies my Department that he has completed the work requested recently by my Department's inspector. A further inspection of the house will then be arranged.

360. Mr. J. Noonan (Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a [187] person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

Minister for the Environment, (Mr. Kavanagh): This grant will be paid as soon as possible.
