200. Mr. J. Fahey asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of money allocated to Waterford Corporation and Waterford County Council for housing in 1983.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Spring): The total Local Loans Fund allocations to Waterford Corporation and Waterford County Council this year to finance their housing programmes are as follows: Waterford Corporation, £3,470,000; Waterford County Council, £1,925,000. In addition each local authority is authorised to incur overdraft of up to 12 per cent of its Local Loans Fund allocation in order to meet contingencies.
