Written Answers. - Prison Visiting Committees.

46. Mr. D. Andrews asked the Minister for Justice the reason no visiting committees have been appointed under the Prison Visiting Committees Act, 1925; if it is his intention to appoint committees to the various prisons in the near future; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Justice (Mr. Noonan, Limerick East): I am happy to inform the Deputy that I have appointed visiting committees for all prisons and places of detention.
