31. Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education if she will consider giving public recognition by way of publicity and any other appropriate action to the National Children's Day which is held each year on the second Sunday in June.

Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey): My Department have no function in relation to the organisation of activities by the National Children's Day Association. If the association wish to put proposals to my Department I will ensure that they are given full consideration.
