Dr. Loughnane asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry if he will consider deepening Ballyvaughan and Liscannor harbours, County Clare so that fishing and tourist boats will have access to the piers. Minister for Fisheries and Forestry (Mr. Daly) Brendan Daly Minister for Fisheries and Forestry (Mr. Daly): The level of commercial fishing at Ballyvaughan and Liscannor would not justify the high cost involved in deepening these harbours. Expensive maintenance dredging would also be required to maintain the dredged depths. Work is at present in progress at Liscannor on the installation of a winch and the provision of ladders at a cost of approximately £30,000. Dáil Éireann 333 Written Answers. Clare Harbours.
