Andrews asked the Minister for Health if he is aware of the under-utilisation of the ward resources available at Leopardstown Park Hospital, Dublin; and if he will ensure that these resources are fully used. My Department are in consultation with the hospital board with a view to working out a scheme of upgrading to provide a net extra 14 beds for long term patients at an early date. The question of the possibility of adapting existing unsuitable accommodation to provide further additional long stay accommodation will be considered at a later date.
