29. Mr. Donnellan asked the Minister for Education the number of applications received for sports grants; the number that will be granted in 1981; and the amount of the grants and the location of the recipients.

Minister for Education (Mr. Wilson): Applications for assistance have been received in relation to 140 projects appropriate to the national programme for the provision of recreational facilities.

The funds already made available for my Department for the provision of recreational facilities are committed to those projects which have been included in the existing national programme of 58 projects.
