457. Mr. White asked the Minister for the Environment when work will commence on the Lurgybrack group water scheme, County Donegal; and the reason for the long delay to date.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. R. Burke): The certificate of approval to State grants for the Lurgybrack group water scheme was issued in August 1979. Subsequently the source for the scheme was changed from the River Swilly to the Letterkenny town supply and the scheme was redesigned. It is understood from the council that work on the scheme will commence shortly.
