71. Mr. E. Collins asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the provision of a new primary school at Ballygunner, Waterford, and the likely date for the commencement of the building of this school in view of the rapid population growth in the area.

Minister for Education (Mr. Wilson): The provision of a sixteen classroom school at Ballygunner has been approved. A report is awaited from the Commissioners of Public Works as to the suitability of the site which has been offered.

It is not possible at this stage to state when building work may commence.
