459. Mr. R. Ryan asked the Minister for Labour if he will furnish a  detailed breakdown of the categories of jobs which have so far qualified for and in respect of which payment of employment incentive subsidies were made, including the numbers involved in each category; and if he will furnish particularly the number of (a) bank (b) insurance and (c) other services' employees in respect of whom such subsidies have been paid.

Minister for Labour (Mr. G. Fitzgerald): The information requested is contained in the following statement:
Categories of employment, and the numbers involved, in respect of which premiums under the Employment Incentive Scheme have been approved and paid up to 31 March 1978
(1) The classification used is the industrial classification as used by the Central Statistics Office.
(2) The numbers of (a) bank (b) insurance and (c) other services' employees in respect of whom premiums have been paid are nil, one and 107 respectively.
